SARAH Brasília Centro is located in the city’s southern neighborhood of Asa Sul. Inaugurated in 1980, this center generated and consolidated principles, concepts and techniques that transformed it into an international reference that helped forge the establishment of the SARAH Network.
SARAH São Luís, inaugurated in 1993, is located in the Monte Castelo neighborhood and offers neurorehabilitation programs for spinal cord injury, neurological disorders, and orthopedic problems for children and adults.
The SARAH Salvador hospital, inaugurated in 1994, is located in the Caminho das Árvores neighborhood and offers care within four major specialities: neurology, orthopedics, pediatric rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury neurorehabilitation.
Inaugurated in 1997, the SARAH Belo Horizonte medical center is located in the Gameleira neighborhood. This center offers all of the resources for diagnosing and treating adults and children, admitted to the neurology, orthopedic, and pediatric rehabilitation programs, as well as the spinal cord injury neurorehabilitation.
The SARAH Fortaleza Neurorehabilitation Center, situated in the Passaré neighborhood was inaugurated in September, 2001. This facility is dedicated to the neurorehabilitation of adults and children with spinal cord or brain injury and neurological disorders that carry motor and sensorial consequences, as well as clinical treatment of adults with back pain.
The International Center for Neurosciences and Rehabilitation, SARAH Brasília Lago Norte, inaugurated in December 2003, offers essential support for research in the field of rehabilitation. Located on the shores of Lake Paranoá, with horizontal architecture, it maximizes the integration of indoor environments and outdoor spaces, thereby favoring teamwork and facilitating the patients’ circulation through its settings. The peculiarities of the terrain and the peaceful waters of Lake Paranoá are conducive to the organization of various sports, including water sports.
The SARAH Macapá Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, situated by Marco Zero, near the Equator line, was inaugurated in 2005. It is dedicated to pediatric and adolescent neurorehabilitation, e.g., cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, neuropsychomotor developmental delays, and babies who are at-risk for brain injury.
The SARAH Belém Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, located near the Guajará Bay, was inaugurated in December 2007 and specializes in the neurorehabilitation of children and adolescents with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, stroke, neuropsychomotor developmental delays, and babies who are at-risk for brain injury.
The SARAH International Center for Neurorehabilitation and Neurosciences, inaugurated in May 2009, is situated in Rio’s Barra da Tijuca and admits adults and children with acquired or congenital injury to the central and peripheral nervous system. Treatment includes family participation in the rehabilitation process and considers the peculiarities of each individual case.
